ENTRIES NOW OPEN
Ports of Auckland Round the Bays has been an annual event in Auckland since 1972, initiated by the Auckland Joggers Club. The first run attracted 1200 participants and has now grown to be one of the world's largest fun-runs with almost 40,000 registered runners.
Today the event is a joint collaboration between the Auckland Joggers Club and Fairfax Media.
The run is 8.4km long over a flat course that follows the contours of Auckland's Waitemata Harbour. It starts in the city on Quay St and finishes on the waterfront at St Heliers Bay.
No Bib=No Run
All Round the Bays participants must display a 2014 race bib at all times. Unregistered participants are not permitted into the start or finish area and will be removed from the course by security. Chest bib check points will be located at all entry points to the start area.
Resources of the event organisers, including medical and safety services, along with event supplies for drink stations, are reserved solely for registered entrants. Any unregistered runner intending to participate should seriously reconsider as they pose a serious safety risk. Any unregistered participants should be reported to the nearest official. If you are registered but have misplaced your bib, replacements are available from the race expo for a $20 charge. Please bring your e-ticket and valid photo id with you.
