NZ’s largest fun run just gets more funner! Round the Bays new three-city series finishes in Auckland, so we’ve upped the ante to end on a high. Join Auckland’s biggest street party with a course filled with entertainment as you move and groove & walk, jog, run or roll from the city to St Heliers. Get your friends, whanau or colleagues, get your vitamin sea, and get amongst a fun run like no other. Are you in?
Auckland Joggers Club (AJC) President, Eric Woods, and Auckland's Mayor and AJC founding member, Colin Key, started the event in 1972 with over 700 participating in the 'fun run'. The Auckland Joggers Club is dedicated to promoting fitness and fostering friendships across generations. They provide programmes for those who want to start running - their beginners programme was originally created to help those that wanted to participate in the Round the Bays fun run, and support those who just want to get better and running or want to keep healthy.
Since then the core bones have not changed. The joint partnership between the Auckland Joggers Club and Stuff Events still drives Round the Bays Auckland forward.
